APW - Waltham, Pennsylvania Special, Model 1892, 21J, 18S, gold-filled OF Dueber Special swingout recase with attractive engraving to rear, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, gilt mvt screws and regulator, nickel damascene, s#11034505. A rare and desirable railroad associated watch, the Waltham Pennsylvania Special was likely retailed exclusively by H.M. Jacobson & Son of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, near mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, scattered specks of oxide on winding wheels and regulator, few minuscule bits of finish loss to plate near fourth wheel jewel setting; dial has few scattered faint hls; fine hands, seconds-hand with full loss of finish; case shows light wear, few shallow dents and few dings on rear edges, engraving detail reduced at shoulder, tiny spots of brass on pendant; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
